This on-demand webinar takes a closer look at real-world EFT and ERA implementation scenarios, and the lessons learned for use by other dentists. Program speakers include practice management system vendors that are collaborative partners in the move from paper to electronic transactions. These speakers will describe the two standard transactions and how they are, or could be, processed. From the practice perspective there are dentists who will describe the ways by which they moved their paper reliant processes to ones that integrate EFTs and ERAs into daily reimbursement processing.
This webinar is another in the continuing education on the benefits of, and steps to implement, electronic alternatives to paper explanation of benefits and reimbursement checks. This started in 2017 with the webinar that exploded myths associated with electronic funds transfer, and is available online for those who were not able to participate, or who would like to refresh their memories. In 2018 the ADA published the free EFT Implementation Checklist – a step by step guide for member dentists who wished to lower administrative overhead incurred with receiving and processing paper checks. There is a small but growing number of dentists who have moved from paper to electronic payment (EFT) and remittance advice (ERA) transactions. It is now time to promote further growth.
